Frequently Asked Questions
What is MentorWise?
WF NEN’s MentorWise platform connects capable and motivated mentors to many early, growing and high-growth entrepreneurs who face challenges with capital, hiring a team, or acquiring customers, and provide deep insights from their business and leadership experience. Mentors are invited to join the network after meeting our stringent qualification criteria.
What is the mentoring process?
Wadhwani way of mentoring is a goal-based, time bound and structured mentoring engagement between a mentor and mentee. The algorithm-based matchmaking process suggests mentors to the mentees based on their defined goals/challenges, stage of business, industry and location.
How to sign up as a mentor?
The convenience of our business mentors is a high priority for us. All you have to do is fill up the registration form on this page. We will review your information, and if it meets our qualification criteria, we will send you an invite to sign up on our Mentoring platform.
How are mentoring engagements initiated?
On the Mentoring platform entrepreneurs connect with mentors whose skillsets, experience and areas of interest match their requirements. Mentors will receive invites from interested entrepreneurs. Accepting them is your prerogative. If you are not available for an extended period, you can opt to make yourself unavailable during that time.
What is the duration of a mentoring session?
You can define the length of the mentoring session based on your availability. Mentors meet their mentees in person or on email/Skype/mobile, depending on convenience. Mentors can spend anywhere between 8-20 hours / 1-2 engagements per month depending on the need of the startup and the goals set by them.
How can I mentor startups and get paid?
MentorWise allows startups to connect with mentors from both local regions and across the world. Though mentoring engagements are pro-bono in nature, the mentee may approach the mentor to discuss compensation based on their business needs. Wadhwani Foundation is not involved in or liable for any compensation discussion in any manner.
